On Friday October 30, 2015, GIL Automations Management/Employees received recognition for contributing toward achieving 100,000 man-hours without lost time incidents to personnel on Total – Egina ICSS Project in Nigeria after a successful Factory Acceptance Testing of EGINA FPSO Phase 1 (Hull Cabinets). This milestone is historic in the life of GIL Automations and in the history of Oil production in Nigeria.
For the first time through EGINA, GIL has achieved the Design and Build of these cabinets in accordance with Nigeria Content Development Compliance and is now accepted by Total. These cabinets will soon be shipped to Korea, where our Engineers are planned to go on board the FPSO and complete the hookup, as well as the complete DCS system.
This journey started in 2013, with the facility upgrade, training of our personnel and above all, a determination to succeed against all odds with support from Automation & Control Solutions Ltd Nigeria (Honeywell). We have since got Systems Integration Certification – Certified Control System Integrators (CSIA), upgraded our panel facility to approximately 8000sq-ft with a capacity of housing about 100-120 cabinets.
This achievement embodies the values to which GIL Automation stands for – We work to be our clients partner in providing systems that work!
